Want To Cast That Fly a Little Further?

It’s All About Straight Lines and Timing

If you’re like 99% of fly fisherman, you like to be able to cast a good distance.

You might not always need the stretch, but it’s nice to know you can do it.

If you need a little coaching, or perhaps a little reminder, here’s another video in the excellent training series put out by the Orvis Fly Fishing School.

Pete Kutzer explains that it’s all keeping the tip in the same plane, keeping the tip in a straight line, and adjusting the length of the pause and of the casting stroke as the amount of line you have out gets longer and longer.

Watch and learn – or if you’re already expert, watch and revise.
