Nothing to do with fly fishing – but a story that will undoubtedly warm the hearts of those who care about the sea and its denizens.
It’s a video that has gone viral with nearly 700 000 Likes and 11.5m. views!
The founder of Manta Pacific Research Foundation, Keller Laros, was diving with manta rays off the coast of Kailua-Kona, in Hawaii, when he came across a bottlenose dolphin that had a fishing hook snagged in its left pectoral fin.
Watching the video, it’s hard not to believe that the dolphin was actually asking for help.
Certainly it made no move to swim away until Keller and his team had removed the hook.
